Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.
We currently have an opportunity for a Build Automation Technical Specialist in Canberra to work in the Land Network Integration Centre projects.
**What You’ll Do**
This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including:
- As the infrastructure specialist within the DevSecOps team, provide support via scripting, automation and orchestration tasks to enable system build sequence automation using a combination of technologies.- Contribute to the design and implementation of disaster recovery solutions leveraging the VMware suite of product.- Develop documentation to describe the design, configuration and implementation of build automation tools and associated system components.- Provide other services as tasked by the LNIC Military Executive.
**What You’ll Bring**
It is a **requirement**that the key applicant has experience with the following:
- Powershell, Ansible and associated scripting languages/technologies- DevSecOps toolsets and methodologies including:
- GitLab- Container Workloads/Kubernetes-
- VMware suite of datacentre products- Version controlled infrastructure deployments- Automating patching, updates, and compliance checks
Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum **Negative Vetting 1**or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with **International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)**requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
