**Current Positions Available**:

- Sports Trainer Coverage for Ashburton United Soccer Club, covering match days for the Men’s senior team and Women’s senior team
- Ideal for new and experienced sports trainers
- Contract role
- Excellent experience for Allied health students (physiotherapy, remedial massage, sports science etc) or people wanting to have a career in sports medicine
- Regular mentoring and training opportunities
- Mentoring and support from APA Titled Sports & Exercise Physiotherapists

Ashburton United Soccer Club as grown significantly since it formed in 1979, to now boast over 70 teams and 900+ members. The senior men’s team compete in the 3rd Tier State Competition while the women’s team compete in the top State Division. Currently they require both a trainer to cover the Men’s and Women’s senior teams for matchdays, which is Saturday and Sunday afternoons respectively for 3 hours. We are currently looking for x2 trainers, one to cover each team.

As a sports trainer, you will NOT be a water carrier and just observing on the sidelines, but actually gaining practical experience. You will also be invited to in-services and access to mentoring at SportsFit Physio & Health, opportunities for shadowing and access to equipment including the Alter G anti-gravity treadmill and AxIT strength testing.

Requirements for the role: Valid 1st Aid and CPR, Level 1 Sports Trainers Certificate/or equivalent (or in the process of completing)
