To fulfill our government contracts and due to our continued growth and with new model vehicles in production, we’re looking for a Service Technician with mechanical skills to join our dedicated team.
Automobility is a leader in the manufacture of lowered floor wheelchair accessible vehicles. We require enthusiastic self motivated people to join our team on a full time basis. We pride ourselves on quality workmanship and customer service. We offer excellent working conditions for all employees and organised social events.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Service, repair and maintain wheelchair accessible vehicle modifications
- Installation of various equipment needed by persons with disability.
- Some fabrication and design aspects associated with the tailoring of the vehicle to the particular client’s needs.
- Use of various hand and power/air tools.
- Work in a team of committed people.
- Follow OH&S procedures and guide lines.
- Ongoing training within the “lean” environment.
- Adhere to our COVID safe protocols.
- Inspection of work for quality as per inspection schedules.
Applicants must have:
- Relevant Automotive trade qualifications/experience
- The ability to problem solve and look outside of the square
- Welding experience is desirable (Not essential)
- Effective communicator
- An eye for detail
- Ability to follow processes with limited supervision
- Driver’s licence
- NDIS worker check (or willing to obtain)
