Machine Operator

**Our Client based at Larapinta is one of Australia’s largest suppliers of steel and they are currently on the search for a Slitter Operator to join their team**

**Starting**:ASAP
**Duration**:Ongoing
**Shifts**:

- Day_: Mon to Thurs = 6 AM - 2:30 PM | Friday = 6 AM - 12 PM
- Afternoon_: Mon to Thurs = 2.30 PM - 11.00 PM | Friday = 12.00 PM - 6.00 PM

**Pay (the important part)**:Dayshift: $28.46/Hr Afternoon Shift: $31.25/Hr + OT + Super

**What are you gonna be doing?**
- This job will see you operating a steel slitting machine or shear line
- The Slitter will cut the steel sheet into strands of nominated thicknesses. It will process small to medium scaled material with 100% precision
- You will also be required to assist with moving the finished product by forklift to a holding station for the warehouse to store it
- There will be other duties such as other production duties, housekeeping etc.

**What do we need from you?**
- Previous machine operating experience is a distinct advantage, if you have previous Slitter Operator experience then that's even better
- Previous overhead crane experience would be great
- **You must have a current Forklift License**:

- You will require your own reliable transport to get to and from work.
- You need a good can-do attitude, the willingness to want to learn and succeed

**Experience**:

- Machine operating: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (preferred)
