**About the role**
Our Works Depot team is looking for a suitably qualified Coordinator Permits and Development. You will provide effective leadership through people development and expert program and project management for a variety of Works projects including provision of timely and high level engineering services to community, utilities and developers; program and deliver Consents and Permits associated with developments; assess and project manage public works associated with developments and utility works; undertake timely and appropriate strategic planning and policy work in the areas of responsibility ensuring that development public works growth is fit for future community needs; assist in development, implementation, and monitoring of Service Level Plans; ensure service issues are attended to promptly with a high level of customer service; develop and train reporting staff that know and live the Council values and vision to deliver services safely
**About you**
The position requires advanced and innovative problem-solving skills and contributes to development and interpretation of policies, guidelines and procedures related to developments and permits. It is central to the position that systems and procedures should be reviewed, developed and updated to effect improvements. The position also acts independently in provision of technical advice to customers and stakeholders.
**The following is also required**:
- Demonstrated commitment and adherence to organisational values and behaviours.
- Qualifications in Civil Engineering.
- Experience in design review and construction of public infrastructure.
- Excellent management and interpersonal skills.
- Sound knowledge of, and ability to interpret, relevant legislation.
- Professional Engineer Registered or ability to obtain; a minimum 5 years' experience.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to provide innovative solutions.
- A proven record of achievement, dedication and consistent performance.
