**Description**:
The Facilities Officer - Grounds is responsible for contributing to the well-being of Residents of BallyCara by managing the upkeep and uplift of the garden facilities to ensure the grounds within BallyCara look amazing

Our gardens are always a talking point and very much loved by our residents.

**What you will be doing**:
Provide a range of general horticultural works to ensure the grounds within Ballycara are maintained to an exceptional standard for the wellbeing of residents.
Deliver a high level of customer service to residents, visitors, contractors, and staff.
Maintenance and high-pressure cleaning of external equipment and shared spaces.
Utilise knowledge of horticultural maintenance to improve the presentation of the open spaces.
Liaise with stakeholders regarding gardening requests.
Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in customer service to residents, visitors, contractors, and staff.

**Skills and Experiences**:
Essential

Experience performing general maintenance and grounds tasks.
Demonstrated ability to support team members in achieving goals, especially during busy and/or difficult working periods.
Strong organisational and time management skills, ability to deal effectively with changing demands in workload.
Sound interpersonal skills with an ability to relate to a wide range of people.
Excellent understanding of risk management, assessment and minimizing risk.
Ability to perform physical task demands.
Great team player with a friendly and positive attitude.
Possession of a “C” Class Queensland Driver’s Licence.

Desirable

Formal horticultural qualifications will be well regarded
2+ years of horticultural experience

Position Requirements

National Police Check clearance which allows working unsupervised
Flu vaccination (seasonal)
COVID-19 vaccination (triple)
