As we continue to welcome visitors to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and share our conversation story - we have an opportunity for a passionate, energetic and experienced casual Presenter and Animal Trainer to support our dedicated Presentation’s team.

**About the Role**

Reporting to the Presentations Manager, you will hold responsibility for the design, production, and delivery of our daily animal-based shows to educate, entertain and delight our guests. This exciting role requires you to be an experienced animal trainer who has excellent husbandry skills.

You will have the ability to deliver professional, entertaining, informative and engaging public performances and able to work from both scripts or deliver unscripted presentations to small groups of all ages & nationalities. This role is a unique opportunity deliver special experiences to guests and to train and care for the animals involved. This role will involve assisting with show productions as required.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will have or be working towards Certificate III Captive Animal Management. In addition, you must be able to deliver high levels of customer service in an energetic, friendly, and professional manner within a busy team environment. Other key skills and qualifications we are looking for include:

- Wildlife handling, husbandry skills and previous experience in this area is essential.
- High level of energy, communication skills and teamwork skills.
- Previous experience in training and keeping for animals with a strong working knowledge of operant conditioning.
- Energetic and friendly personality and confidence with domestic and international visitors
- You must be able to work with a variety of native and exotic species including birds of prey, parrots, reptiles, and mammals.
- Appropriate fitness to walk long distances, stand for long periods and ability to carry / support up to 10kg for a prolonged period.
- Hold a current manual Driver’s licence and current First Aid qualifications is highly desirable.
- Flexible and availability to work across weekends and school holiday holidays.
