**The Company**

**Turramurra**
Our Turramurra centre showcases three beautifully appointed Montessori classrooms and two dynamic outdoor play areas. Key features of the Montessori classrooms include flexible learning spaces, clearly defined curriculum areas, and a full suite of Montessori Materials designed to meet the developmental needs and interests of each age group. Beyond the classroom, our Turramurra Early Learning Centre’s outdoor area is enriched with a bicycle track, dramatic play and home corner, veggie patch, gardens, gross motor activities, speed boat, and sandpit.

**The Role**
- Responsible for the guidance, support and general supervision of staff, students and volunteers in the room
- To develop the Children's Program (reflecting Early Years Learning Framework guidelines).
- In compliance with the OH&S Policy, ensure a safe environment is maintained for staff and children, with particular attention to children with anaphylaxis, allergies, asthma etc.
- To ensure that accurate records are kept in regards to accident, incident, injury, illness and medication
- To liaise with families in regards to the day to day happenings.
- To maintain observations and records of individual children's progress, particularly those identified through staff observation.

**Essential criteria**
- Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA equivalent)
- Experience working as a Room Leader in an early childhood setting
- Current Working with Children Check
- First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain one
- Excellent understanding and working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, which includes: National Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS), and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment
- Strong understanding of the importance of family communications
- Strong understanding of the Montessori Philosophy
- Well versed with Montessori learning materials, the curriculum areas, and progression
- Passionate about implementing Montessori early learning programs
- Commitment to the holistic development of their class
