Mechanical /hydraulic Fitter

**Full Time Position**:

An opportunity has become available at Crib Point Engineering for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Hastings, Melbourne's Southern Suburb. We are a busy engineering workshop in the heavy industry sector and a leader in providing quality-designed equipment to numerous Tier 1, blue chip clients.

This hands-on role involves working on a variety of systems, performing a wide range of technical tasks from maintenance, repair, assembly, installation and commissioning.

**To be considered for this role you will possess**:

- Previous experience working within a heavy engineering environment.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- The ability to perform general engineering fitting and light fabrication duties.
- Knowledge of fluid power principles and the ability to comprehend hydraulic circuits would be an advantage.
- A strong work ethic, be punctual and reliable

**Key responsibilities/authorities**:

- Working as a team with other Fitters & Boilermakers
- Be available to work interstate or overseas and be available for after-hours if required.
- Ensure that safety standards are followed.

**Essential Qualifications and Licences**:

- Relevant Trades Qualification
- Current manual driver’s license
- Current Passport
- EWP and Forklift licenses
- Demonstrated previous experience with on-site work (preferable)

**Other requirements**:

- Police check may be required prior to gaining employment.
- Must pass drug, alcohol and medical tests to perform site works.

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
