Join a dedicated team that delivers quality care and makes a difference in the lives of participants on the NDIS in Port Stephens and the surrounding area. We are looking for skilled and dedicated Support Workers to join our team.

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide a high level of care to participants on the NDIS.

**Must be available for AM/PM shifts, including sleepovers.**

**Experience and qualifications preferred or willing to obtain.**

About you:

- SIL/SDA experience-preferred
- Training and experience in Trauma informed care and responding to complex behaviours-preferred
- Min 4 x full days of availability, including overnight/sleepover & weekend shifts
- Flexible, open-minded & willing to give anything a crack
- Excellent listening skills & clear communicator
- A friendly, enthusiastic & caring nature
- Keen problem-solver & can adapt to change

Job Duties and Responsibilities include:

- Working with challenging behaviors
- Assisting with personal care
- Meal planning, shopping, and preparation
- Domestic assistance
- Administration of medication
- Support participants with medical appointment
- Complete shift documentation, ABC, and Incident reports
- Work with complex behaviours
- Experience with restrictive practices

If you are successful through our recruitment process, we will need the following before you start:

- National Police Clearance no older than 6 months
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Comprehensive Car Insurance
- NDIS Worker Screening check
- WWCC
- Current First Aid and CPR

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $30.00 - $41.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 38 per week

- First Aid Certification (required)
- Working with Children Check (required)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (required)
- National Police Certificate (required)
- Driver Licence (required)
