As a deeply grounded NDIS and Aged Care provider, we require Support Workers on a casual premise. One should be adaptable and flexible to work with individuals with diverse special needs and to help frail, older people, including the prematurely aged, living in the community to maximize their independence.

**About the Role**

**Choice is looking for a Support Worker in Alstonville, Sydney (NSW) and surrounding suburbs**with expertise in case management, social work, and outreach. You will play an important role for many participants who may be excluded from mainstream healthcare, social support, and opportunities, negatively impacting their functioning and independence in the community.

- Demonstrated communication and relationship management abilities, as well as the ability to maintain collaborative working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

**Job Role and Responsibilities**:

- **Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist the client in standing up from bed
- Provide support with showering and personal care
- Help with putting on shoes (client dresses herself)
- Prepare a simple breakfast
- Drive the client to her workplace
- Working Hours: From 6 or 7am to 8.30/9.30 am
- **Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a support worker role or similar.
- Compassionate and patient attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and adapt to the client's needs.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Police check
- NDIS Screening check **Experience/Certification Required**:

- Relevant qualification in Disability/Aged Care/Individual Support/Social Work
- Full NSW Driver's License and your own vehicle
- National Criminal Check
- Working with Children Check
- First Aid & CPR (or willingness to get one)
- Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate
- Manual Handling (not mandatory but preferable)

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

**Salary**:$31.00 onwards based on the SCHADS Award
