**Payroll Officer**

Are you passionate about payroll and have a keen eye for detail? We are seeking a talented Payroll Officer to join our team and be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payment processing for our employees.

In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including processing payroll, maintaining employee payroll records, and responding to employee payroll inquiries. You will work closely with our HR team to ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.

**What you’ll do**
- Process weekly and monthly payruns with accuracy and meet deadlines.
- Process all leave requests and prepare termination calculations according to relevant awards, EAs, employment contracts, company policies, and legislation.
- Ensure compliance with company policy, industrial instruments, agreements, and legislation.
- Investigate and action requests and queries within agreed timelines and quality levels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

**What you’ll bring**
- Solid end to end payroll experience.
- Understanding of computerised payroll and time and attendance systems (CHRIS21and Kronos are ideal but not essential)
- Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced, and high-volume environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Strong Excel skills
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Proven track record of dealing with a modern award and ability to interpret relevant legislation.
