This role is responsible for supporting the communications response during technology incidents, data events, cyber incidents and planned outages to keep our customers and employees informed in a timely manner.
Acting as part of the primary liaison team between the ANZ Command Centre (Technology) and the Data Event Response Team and business representatives, this role supports the Incident Comms manager to manage relevant communications, business and SME representatives, developing the overarching approach, prioritising audiences, drafting key messages and seeking approval from relevant stakeholders.
Ensure we use feedback, analytics and data to inform decisions and continuously improve our approach and communication for the benefit of ANZ customers and employees
Act as the delegated Incident Communications Manager when required
What will your day look like
**This role is accountable for**:
Supports the Incident Communications Manager during major technology, cyber security incidents, data regulation events, and planned outages to keep ANZ’s customers and employees informed.
Effective delivery of communication plans to support the communications response to technology incident, cyber incidents and data events.
Supports the Incident Communications Response Manager in drafting, reviewing, circulating and coordinating sign off of key messaging/communications.
Escalates issues/decisions to the Incident Communications Manager as appropriate.
Helps build and deliver on the Incident Communications strategy and thinks about strategic initiatives that will improve communication for employees and customers.
Outside of a live incident, participates in Post Incident Reviews (PIRs) for continuous improvement opportunities of incident communications framework.
Participates in the 24x7 incident communications response on-call roster - for a minimum of 2 weeks on-call per month. Ie: week on, week off on-call.

- Strong written communication skills, producing content for a range of audiences, adopting the relevant style and tone to meet audience needs and experience in creative design and execution.
Confidence in navigating a large, complex, and highly regulated organisations and building strong relationships with others who are involved in managing technology, cybersecurity and/or data related incidents.
**Exercises sound judgement**: ability to make sound and timely decisions under pressure in the face of limited information.
Strong technical problem-solving skills and a customer service focus within a time critical environment.
**Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills**: ability to lead through direct engagement and influence stakeholders.
Relevant experience working in a similar role and/or area within an Enterprise Service Management environment - IT, Telecommunications, Financial etc; and relevant experience either leading incident response or developing incident communication response plans and collateral.
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple competing work tasks to deliver on agreed deadlines.
Ability to assist with critical incidents 24x7 should the need arise - with the direction and support of senior communication leaders when dealing with serious incidents.
Have a genuine interest in emerging technology and cyber security
Demonstrated growth mindset and/or how to bring it out in others
Skills in fostering collaboration across diverse areas
Previous experience within financial services/insurance industry
Degree or Certificate in communications, public relations or similar
Degree or Certificate in information technology, cyber security or similar
Degree or Certificate in crisis/emergency management or similar
