Mortician

InvoCare is an industry leader within the funeral industry, we currently operate over 300 funeral locations, 17 cemeteries and 29 crematoria, throughout Australia, New Zealand and Singapore and growing.

**As a Mortician you will be responsible for**:

- Providing best practice in the preparation and presentation of deceased persons
- Encoffin and present the deceased to InvoCare standards and in accordance to special family requests.
- Provide assistance to the Embalmer when required.
- Accurately complete mortuary registration and checking procedures.
- Maintain, clean and sterilise mortuary facilities and equipment.
- Perform coffin/casket trimming and engraving.
- Organise time efficiently and monitor daily workflow.
- Monitor stock levels and prepare orders as directed.

**About you**:

- Ability to provide exceptional customer service at all levels.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Current unrestricted drivers license.
- Previous experience in mortuary and completion of the Mortuary Technician’s course would be highly regarded
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- In a fit state of physical and psychological health to be able to adequately perform the role
- Be at ease working with grieving families and the deceasedGood attention to detail and the ability to follow direction
