Your new role will give you the opportunity to assist in the setup and delivery of community events and provide face-to-face customer service as well as the opportunity to acquire new hands-on experience in event operations. If you enjoy variety, then this is the role for you **About us** Hornsby Shire is located on Sydney's upper north shore, approximately 25 kilometres north of the CBD. Known as the ‘Bushland Shire’, our local government area is characterised by bushland comprising national park, major waterways, natural reserves and rural landscape. The rest of the Shire combines urban, rural and open spaces. **About the role** You will contribute to a team responsible for delivering community events including: - Providing exceptional high-level customer service to Council’s internal and external customers - Supporting event staff in setting up, packing down and assisting with a range of tasks during community events. Noting this role requires lifting and carrying heavy items. - Promoting a professional and positive image of Council **About you** In this role we require a highly motivated person who has experience in an event environment. The person must be diplomatic, confident and able to communicate and manage expectations of internal and external customers of Council.
