**Position Information**:
The NSW Department of Education provides, funds and regulates education services for NSW students from early childhood to secondary school, delivering world-class education through its public schools and providing funding support to non-government schools. ** About the Role**
Full Time Print Room position.
A School Administrative Officer provides administrative, financial and student welfare/wellbeing support and assistance in relation to office and classroom activities, including but not limited to the following school settings: the print room, office, sick bay, library, science laboratory, and food technology/kitchen areas.
**The Print Room Officer’s duties include**:
- Prioritising and completing work requested by staff.
- Prioritising and undertaking tasks such as printing, scanning, guillotining, laminating and binding
- General maintenance of machines in the print room and liaising with technicians when issues cannot be resolved in-house.
- Daily collection and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail.
- Organising and updating the allocation of staff pigeon holes.
- Maintaining and controlling supplies for all copiers and printers in the print room.
- First Aid/Sick Bay
- Any other duties as may be required
The role of the Print Room Officer is to manage the reproduction requirements of the school. This includes photocopying, laminating, binding, printing exams and compilation of in-house brochures and booklets.
**Essential Requirements**- Working with Children Check Clearance- First Aid Certificate or willingness to undertake First Aid training.- Administration of Medications - training to be provided based on student needs.
**Selection Criteria**:
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively as part of a team.
- Administration skills including a knowledge of computer software programs such as Microsoft Office.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with teachers and students.
- Ability to perform tasks in one or more of the following areas: office procedures; accounting procedures; sick bay; hospitality and /or design and technology; science.

- Use of high-volume photocopying machines and other ancillary hardware, including binding machines, guillotines and folding machines
- Maintenance of high-volume photocopiers.

- Ability to prioritise workload and requirements on a daily basis.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to successfully manage a number of tasks in a pressured environment.
