SafeCare® educators are trained to deliver the SafeCare program and to achieve positive outcomes for families. All SafeCare® educators are required to attend a five day workshop prior to delivering the program. After training all educators are assigned a coach. The coach supports educators to achieve and maintain certification in the delivery of SafeCare®. Coaching is an ongoing requirement for all SafeCare® educators at Anglicare Victoria.

SafeCare® educators are required to provide home-based interventions adhering to the SafeCare® model which includes conducting assessments and parent training and education. Educators will also be required to review referral information, identify and engage key participants and identify systemic risk and protective factors.

**What we are looking for**:
**Expertise and knowledge required include**:
Tertiary qualifications, preferable in social work, psychology or behavioural sciences or equivalent

Excellent understanding of the child and family service system, including legislative and policy frameworks

Excellent skills in providing expert case consultation and advice to complex cases, particularly around risk, safety and wellbeing assessments.

Sound understanding of culturally sensitive practice and is able to establish rapport and relate sensitively with Aboriginal and culturally diverse groups.

**Please Note**: It is mandatory for the successful applicant to hold a current Working with Children Check and be prepared to undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to commencement. AV employees are required to either be fully vaccinated against Covid 19 or have a medical exemption. AV will require evidence that you are compliant with these requirements.
