**About the role
**Management of Freedom of Information (FOI) Requests. Assist with FOI reporting, policy and procedure updates and training and awareness activities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Evaluate requests for document access, determining if documents can be provided outside of FOI guidelines.
- Oversee the processing, maintenance, and decision-making of FOI requests, including third-party consultations and notifications as per FOI regulations and standards.
- Handle interactions with the Office of the Victorian Information Commissioner (OVIC) regarding reviews or complaints about request handling, which may involve submitting written responses.
- Assist in maintaining and updating FOI policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with information statements outlined in the FOI Act.

**Skills and Experience**
- Collaborative, customer focused approach
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to work independently on a variety of tasks with mínimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple deadlines and adjust to workload fluctuations.
- Experience in administering FOI legislation.
