The Research Team supports our Mozo business, a banking, insurance and household services comparison site for Australians.

The Research Team predominantly deals with the details of banking, insurance and other products; these are used on our consumer websites, offered to industry participants as a competitor product comparison service, and used to judge our in-house Experts Choice Awards.

**Job Purpose**

The Research Analyst is responsible for the research to inform and production/analysis of data sets to drive the Expert Choice Awards results across a number of key categories including home/van/car/pet insurance, money, travel, energy, telecoms and more.

The person in this role will use their highly developed numerical skills and a range of technical skills to manage and advise on large data sets to output the Awards winners as well as being an important contributor to the Research Team’s ad hoc data projects.

The Research Analyst will:

- Ensure we have the data we need (internally or via 3rd party) to output authentic and defendable Awards winner
- Run quality checks on the data and set up scalable processes where applicable
- Review judging methodology to spot changes in the market that might suggest different methodology or filters, and agree to those with relevant stakeholders
- Execute the data wrangling, filtering and calculations in order to come up with draft lists of Experts Choice Awards winners across the key categories
- Lead the research to support the production of new Awards categories
- Write the methodology reports for each Awards
- Improve the production processes (as each Experts Choice Awards will be held annually)

**Requirements**:

- Have a natural ability to absorb large amounts of product information data points, and be able perform analysis to support well-formed Awards recommendations.
- Be methodical and proactive in their work.
- Chase down points of contention or unknown data points.
- Have strong experience with cleansing, manipulation and crunching of data:advanced skills working with Google Sheets (or Excel).
