**The Opportunity**

Come and discover the opportunity to join the Manufacturing team at our **Western Port Hastings** facility as a **Maintenance Services Leader**. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products Portfolio, we have five major manufacturing departments at Western Port which operate 24 x 7 and deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to export and domestic customers.

The Maintenance Services Leader (MSL) is a key leadership role within the Manufacturing Team and is to support the Maintenance Managers as 2IC in the development of a disciplined approach to maintenance, facilitating cross functional relationships and to provide leadership for all maintenance roles.

In this key leadership position, you will collaborate with the manufacturing teams as you drive the coordination & development of the asset implementation plans and schedules based on the asset strategy and production schedules.

The MSL’s primary objective is to be dedicated to ensuring that the area asset management function is managed to meet the business requirements of the Manufacturing Unit through governance over systems, planning, scheduling and execution.

The MSL has the responsibility along with their team of Planners, to drive sustained improvement in process, identify potential improvements, facilitate the development and implementation of solutions and manage major projects as allocated.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will look at ways of driving sustained improvements to deliver process and asset performance. Your contribution will enable improved machine safety and performance so we can continue to make and deliver our world-class product to our valued customers.

**What Will You Do?**

While leading your team and having a direct impact on the delivery performance of BlueScope Australian Steel Products, this role will see you contribute to the safety of our people, the quality of our product and sustained improvement of our assets. In addition, you will:

- manage and plan the equipment maintenance strategy and delivery compliance, to ensure optimal asset output
- analyse reports and implementing asset improvement plans for the plant
- lead your team to develop improvement plans - such as deployment of leading-edge maintenance practices and technology to accelerate change
- reviewing future work priorities and opportunities with other maintenance team streams

- an electrical or mechanical trade background or relevant engineering discipline and experience
- experience working in a manufacturing or similar environment
- leadership and guidance ensuring your team follows manufacturing excellence targets
- experience within an industrial maintenance environment including exposure to a maintenance system (ie SAP)
- a strong customer focus and the ability to deal with ambiguity and change
- a passion for continuous improvement
