**The company**:
Based in Bridgewater, our client is a national market leader and premium supplier of quality flour-based products. They are seeking a Laboratory Technician who will be pivotal in assessing the quality and suitability of raw flour materials and products.

**About the role**:
Reporting to the Quality Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate or an experienced lab technician looking to gain experience in the food manufacturing sector.
- Duties may include but are not limited to:_
- Assessing the quality and suitability of all raw ingredients at receival and ensuring that mixed products are tested for additives and mixing effectiveness.
- Manage laboratory and testing equipment, while maintaining a clean and tidy work area in accordance with Food Safety and Infestation.
- Liaise with varying business departments to ensure that all product created is fit for the intended purpose.
- Ensure relevant Test Baking methods are applied to all premix and milled flour products and that product testing records and laboratory maintenance records are kept.

**The successful person must**:
You must be willing and able to work on a rotating day, afternoon, and night shift roster. It is critical you have strong organisation and communication skills and be able to work unsupervised.

Prior experience in aspects of Quality Control and/ or a suitable qualification is desirable, along with an understanding of analytical testing methods.
