**About the role**
Grampians Health is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Social Worker for the role of Intake Counsellor/Advocate at the Ballarat Centre Against Sexual Assault.

Primary clinical responsibilities include participating as a member of the CASA intake team in taking referrals, intake assessments, advocacy, safety planning and brief intervention counselling to people who have experienced sexual assault and their family members. This role also entails participation in the CASA after-hours roster.

Sound knowledge and experience in undertaking psychosocial assessments, well developed communication skills and the ability to work well in the pursuit of client and team needs and goals are required. Experience in working in community and healthcare settings with an emphasis on sexual assault and family violence would be a highly regarded attribute.

There is excellent support and supervision from within the team at CASA. Professional development is supported through regular in-service education, supervision in line with AASW requirements and the ability to attend continuing education.
