**About the Role**
As a Youth Worker Worker, you will provide safe and respectful support to children, young people, and NDIS participants. We match workers with participants based on skills, experience, and personal interests to build positive and purposeful relationships.
Support includes:
- **Youth Mentoring**:1:1 support for children and young people to increase skills and work towards goals.
- **Supervised Transport**: Transport for children and young people to school, TAFE, events or appointments.
- **Family Time Visits**: Supervised support at visits to ensure all persons are positive and safe during visits.
- **In-Home Support**:Flexible care in-home to assist with domestic duties, routines, care of children.
- **Labour Hire**:Providing support to children and young people through external non-government organisations through Individual Placement Arrangements (IPA) and therapeutic care settings (ITCH, TSIL, SIL, ICM)
- **Day Respite**:Support in-home or the community allowing carers respite from their roles.
- **Specialised Substitute Residential Care (SSRC)**:Accommodation based in South-West Sydney providing a therapeutic respite environment to children, young people and NDIS participants.
- **Daily Personal Activities**:Assistance with personal tasks of daily life, to increase independence.
- **Participation in Community**:Assistance to engage in community, social or recreational activities.
- **Development of Daily Living & Life Skills**:Assistance to build skills aroundpublic transport awareness, budgeting, cooking, and other tasks.

**Essential Requirements**
You must hold:
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) - employee clearance
- Current National Police Check (within last 2 years and NO disclosable outcomes)
- Current Driver Licence (minimum P2) and a safe, roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Access to a laptop or mobile device for reporting
Qualifications (minimum Certificate IV or working towards) in areas such as:
- Disability, Community Services, Youth Work, Early Childhood, Psychology, Social Work, Criminology, Teaching, or related welfare studies.

- Demonstrate respect, reliability, and integrity
