**About the Company**:

**About the Role**:
Our client Foodbank is seeking an enthusiastic Retail Assistant / Mobile Driver to join their Perth team. You will be responsible for the safe handling and movement of food, as well as retail and mobile functions which include forklift truck driving, mobile driving, and retail shop duties.

Responsibilities include:

- Operate an electric pallet jack (forklift) to move stock around the premises as directed and maintain a tidy backyard by properly stacking pallets and empty bins.
- Receive and accurately record donated stock to be displayed in our retail shop.
- Replenish stock volumes on the retail Floor, the chilled and frozen areas, and remove empty pallets and packaging. Check date codes.
- Complete compliance checks to ensure adherence to HACCP and OH&S requirements.
- Drive the mobile van to our mobile sites to distribute food to our clients.

**Job Requirements**:
To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will have the following:

- Experience and demonstrated ability in retail and fresh food procedures.
- Ability to work alone and in a group environment, especially with volunteer staff.
- Ability to work in a cold environment when required. (PPE provided)
- Medical assessment of current health
- Capable of regular lifting
- Current and valid driver’s licence.

**Desirable**
- Knowledge of HACCAP Processes and OH&S procedures.
- Someone who has worked in a retail environment and has prior experience in the fresh food department.

**Other Requirements**
- Be an Australian Citizen/ Permanent Resident with valid Australian work rights
- Current and valid WA driver's license.
- National Police clearance and Working with Children accreditation or the ability to obtain one
- Be willing to obtain a medical assessment of current health
