- With a hands-on approach, you'll find the Principal Class actively engaged in the school community, visible daily in and around classrooms, on yard duty, and interacting with the students. With an open-door policy, they warmly welcome any staff member seeking support or conversation or any student wanting to show them their work. They wholeheartedly foster a collaborative environment, where every teacher's voice is not only heard but also valued.
- Additionally, our Learning Specialists further support the work of teachers within the classrooms. - At Karwan Primary School, we strongly encourage and model work/life balance. School starts at 8:40 am and concludes at 2:50 pm. This means, staff arrive by 8:10am and are leaving at 4:10pm on a meeting night or on a non-meeting night, 3:10pm. We work hard while we are here, but once we leave at the end of the day, we can focus on other important things, like self, and family.

**Selection Criteria**:
**SC1** Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills. Demonstrated experience in responding to student learning needs.

**SC2** Demonstrated experience in planning for and implementing high impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluating the impact of learning and teaching programs on student learning growth.

**SC3** Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning. Demonstrated experience in using data to inform teaching practice and providing feedback on student learning growth and achievement to students and
