We are seeking a dedicated and reliable service technician.

Locally owned and operated, we are more than just a tractor retailer, offering finance on new machinery to make sure our customers the right gear for their job and for the best possible price. We are focused on providing farming machinery, light construction equipment, spare parts, and mechanical services with the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

**About the position**:

- Provide quality customer service to existing customers to maintain a good working relationship and also provide exceptional service to new customers.
- Inspect and diagnose equipment to identify the cause of errors, problems, or defects.
- Reassemble machines and equipment following repair; test operation and make adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain, repair, and overhaul farm and construction machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, balers, mower conditioners, skid steers, telehandlers, loaders, and any other equipment.
- Dismantle defective machines for repair using hand tools.
- Test and replace electrical components and wiring using test meters, soldering equipment and hand tools.
- Clean and lubricate parts.
- Tune or overhaul engines.
- Travel to customer site for repair of machinery if required. Examine and listen to equipment and confer with customers to locate and diagnose malfunctions.
- Record details of repairs made on Repair Orders.
- Maintain a clean and tidy workplace
- Conduct thorough self-checking of work and documentation.
- Adopt continuous learning and improvement processes in all aspects of the position.
- Perform any other duty as reasonably required by the Directors.
- Sharing of knowledge with other employees within the Company where applicable.
- Follow, utilise, and promote Company policies and procedures, core values and Work Health and Safety requirements.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum two years’ recent trade experience
- Experience within the heavy automotive / plant industry
- Demonstrated diagnostic skills.
- Strong work ethic
- Sound communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well both within a team environment and autonomously.
- Committed towards undertaking duties efficiently.
- Professional personal presentation.
- Australian Working rights
- Current Victorian Driver’s license - HR advantageous

Pay: $22.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
