Grow your career with a global retailer as a Packaging & Product Circularity Specialist within our Sustainability team at ALDI Australia, based in Minchinbury. **This is a permanent full time position**.

Our Sustainability team works diligently across the breadth of our operations, setting sustainability commitments and policies in critical areas such as human rights, responsible sourcing, plastics and packaging, waste and carbon, health, and community.

**What does the role look like?**
- Conduct research and support the Manager in making recommendations and advising the business on best practice packaging and product design, stewardship and end-of-life practices within a circular economy framework.
- Support non-technical interventions to improve packaging and product sustainability and compliance across the business; including engaging with Buying and suppliers to deliver actions and address non-compliance.
- Support the capture and management of ALDI’s packaging data to monitor compliance and improve data integrity in close partnership with data service providers and ALDI reporting teams.
- Support internal and external reporting on packaging and product circularity related initiatives.
- Support ALDI’s Communications Teams in developing ad-hoc topic-related communications and coordinate team resource updates and/or development as needed.
- Assist in the coordination of stewardship programs and identify opportunities to improve product circularity.
- Assist in the development and delivery of training to internal and external stakeholders on packaging and product circularity.
- Support engagement with relevant stakeholders including coordinating meetings, topics and tasks, and information sharing.

**Qualifications** What do we need from you?**
- Demonstrated understanding of packaging and product circularity and a passion for environmental/sustainability issues
- Understanding of material end-of-life and recovery concepts either within retail or waste sectors
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to provide resolutions on time and within budget
- Experience with APCO reporting requirements and/or PREP tool desirable
- Experience working within FMCG is highly regarded
- Excellent communication skills with the ability engage and influence multiple stakeholders
- Strong project management and administration skills
- Ability to take on responsibility and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
