People & Culture Advisor - Mascot - 6 month contract with view to perm - Up to $43 per hour
**Your new company**
Your new company is an international leader in the Hospitality sector looking for a People & Culture Advisor to join their on-site HR team for an initial contract of 6 months with a view to permanency.
**Your new role**
In your new role you will be responsible for:
- Provide daily operational support to local management and business units on various HR related functions
- Action the tasks required at a local level related to the employee life cycle, in particular on-boarding and off-boarding, including processes and actions in associated systems.
- Coordinate end to end recruitment and selection process.
- Ensure compliance across all aspects of the P&C function, including recruitment requisitions are authorised, pre-employment checks are completed and meet standards, training records are up to date and any HR matters with a Border Force connection are reported to Security.
- Ensure strong relationships are built across the unit to enable a seamless, quality-led service to the business, with staff, line managers, head office and relevant union representatives.
- Provide advice and guidance for employees and managers on employee or organisational related queries and ensure HR matters are handled fairly and consistently in line with company policies, industrial Agreements and local employment laws.
- Assist and support with employment related cases, including disciplinary investigations and unsatisfactory performance, working closely with the People & Culture Regional Business Partner on all matters to ensure local compliance to company procedures
- Support the roll out of national and local organisational and HR change initiatives / projects.
- Conduct and support Employee Inductions as per the national standard.
- Issue employment offers and contracts in line with the relevant industrial agreement.
- Complete HR & Payroll administrative related tasks, such as ID Access Cards, Uniform orders etc.
- Contribute to team discussions for making recommendations to improve HR processes and systems.
**What you'll need to succeed**
In order to succeed you will ideally:
- Hold a third level qualification in HR or a related discipline
- Be willing and able to travel to the office 5 days per week
- Have demonstrable experience in a similar position
- Experience within hospitality or similar environment would be a distinct advantage
