You can’t rush the work, it’s intricate, often delicate and fiddly but you need to be very strong and physically fit to lift frequently. Working with both new and older vehicles, you will need to be careful and cautious with the work you put your hands to each day.

Long established Automotive windscreen business seeking an enthusiastic junior or entry level tradesperson's assistant to join a Wollongong based vehicle windscreen business, leading to become a trained Automotive Glass Technician. Some work will be undertaken in Sydney area, but all transport is covered during work hours. Commence from Fairy Meadow workshop each day.

We are a supportive and fast paced business seeking to train a junior or adult entry level assistant (trainee considered) to assist and provide manual labour support to automotive glass technicians in a windscreen replacement environment.

For the right person this role will develop over time with training and on the Job experience to become a qualified Automotive Glass Technician.

All training will be provided on the job within the workplace and transport between sites provided by employer. Own transport or public transport to starting work site required each day.

Award rates payable under the _Vehicle Repair, Services and Retail Award 2020_ however rate of pay can be negotiated based on previous experience in a similar role.

Essential criteria:

- Drivers license (unrestricted) or provisional
- ability to frequently lift glass up to 20kg
- ability to frequently use manual strength and upper body control
- able to listen and follow instructions
- work under direct supervision
- use of simple hand tools
- basic customer service skills/experience

- Monday to Friday

Required licence or certification: NSW Drivers licence

Employee reference required and resume noting previous work history to qualify for interview.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
