**So, what does a typical day look like?**

As a Maintenance Fitter, you’re responsible for preventative maintenance and service breakdowns, ensuring plant equipment is functional.

**In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are**:

- Respond to equipment and services breakdowns.
- Ensure all services and equipment are in working condition at the start of the day.
- Record maintenance and breakdown times.
- Ensure equipment and services availability for production.
- Provide maintenance support to the entire site
- Complies with company and legislative requirements with respect to OHS, workers compensation and rehabilitation.
- Assists management to comply with OH&S duty of care.
- Supervises work activities to ensure safe working practices are adopted.
- Assists in HIRAC hazard identification, risk and control.
- Complies with company and legislative requirements with respect to food safety and environmental systems.
- Authority and responsibility for aspects of the food safety and environmental systems as documented in the relevant section of the Quality Assurance Program.
- Share information and ideas, and actively encourage participation from others.
- Carry out preventative maintenance on all equipment and services.
- Complete work orders from MEX system.
- Ensure preventative maintenance is completed on schedule and work requests completed within a required time.

**What do you need to be successful in securing this role?**
- Demonstrated success in a similar role.
- Engineering Mechanical Trade (Fitting and Turning) Cert III Tertiary qualifications.
- Welding or fabrication experience.
- Demonstrated experience as a trades person within a food manufacturing facility.
- Detailed understanding of food production processes and equipment.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills is desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work within strict timelines.
- Ability to communicate with operational staff is desirable.
- Proven track record in achieving KPIs is desirable.
- Ability to identify process improvements and provide feedback is desirable.
- As you will be working in the Aviation Services industry, you will be required to obtain a clear National Police Check.
