Retail Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Sales Associate in our spare car parts shop. As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our customers, assisting them in finding the right car parts and accessories for their needs. **Responsibilities**:
1. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner.

2. Identify customer needs and offer appropriate car parts and accessories to meet their requirements.

3. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of various car parts, their functions, and compatibility with different vehicle models.

4. Assist customers in locating and selecting the correct parts from our inventory, both on the sales floor and through our computerized catalog system.

5. Answer customer inquiries regarding product specifications, pricing, availability, and compatibility.

6. Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.

7. Handle customer returns and exchanges, ensuring a positive resolution to any issues or concerns.

8. Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring shelves are properly stocked and displays are appealing.

9. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the store.

10. Stay updated with industry trends, new products, and advancements in car parts technology.

**Requirements**:
1. High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

2. Previous experience in automotive sales or customer service is preferred.

3. Strong knowledge of car parts and their functions, including familiarity with various vehicle makes and models.

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers.

5. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to offer suitable solutions to customer inquiries.

6. Attention to detail and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.

7. Basic computer proficiency

8. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and move around the shop floor.

9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

10. A genuine passion for cars and a desire to stay up-to-date with the automotive industry.

**Salary**: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Belmore, NSW 2192: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
