**The Opportunity**
- Work flexibly with hybrid arrangements
- Continuing, full-time role (35 hours/week)
- $123,044-$138,637+ 17% super + leave loading ($127,351 - $143,488 from July 2025)
Reporting to the Deputy Director, Research Analysis, Data and Reporting, you’ll lead a team of up to two to deliver high-level reporting and technical services related to research administration. This encompasses areas such as research grants, higher degree research, and research ethics. In this role, the Team Leader provides project management expertise, facilitating the implementation of quality reporting solutions and ensuring efficient delivery of core processes and reporting related to research administration.

**About the successful applicant**
You have a relevant tertiary qualification and or substantial experience and understanding of research administration and reporting requirements in the higher education sector.
You excel at high-level conceptual thinking, analysis, and problem-solving, with a proven ability to translate complex business needs into practical reporting solutions for a variety of stakeholders. Your organisational and project management strengths enable you to lead critical operational tasks effectively within deadline-driven environments. You communicate with clarity and professionalism, whether through presentations, written correspondence, or day-to-day interactions, and you build collaborative, productive relationships with colleagues.
With advanced skills in data analysis and automated reporting using tools like Excel, PostgreSQL, and Power BI, you can demonstrate your ability to rapidly understand business processes, extract and analyse data from large systems, and deliver meaningful, accurate reports. Committed to high-quality service and a client-focused approach, you also align with UNSW’s values and policies, including a strong understanding of health and safety responsibilities and a willingness to engage in relevant training.
