**What you’ll be doing**:
The Procurement Category Management IT Specialist works with key stakeholders across all Virgin Group segments to understand relevant business strategies and objectives, to develop and manage the execution of Group wide procurement IT category strategies. We're looking for a creative problem solver who's comfortable with fast-paced decision-making and enjoys staying on the cutting edge of technology. Your focus will be on the delivery of value for money from supplier arrangements in the short and long term and ensuring compliance and best practice.

Additionally, you will:

- Ensure execution of IT category strategy, through demand management, strategic sourcing, and supplier management exercises
- Lead strategic sourcing and negotiations of complex, IT product and service arrangements delivering positive outcomes for the airline and suppliers
- Implement contract management processes that incorporate appropriate performance incentives enabling effective contract performance management
- Develop and maintain solid relationships with business units and suppliers driving process efficiencies and maximising benefits
- Develop and implement supplier relationship management strategies ensuring supplier performance and commercial objectives
- Focus on identifying value creating opportunities within the IT category
- Guiding a fact base case for business change

**You’ll be great in this role if you hold**
- Experience in IT strategic sourcing
- Experience in strategic IT category management across the end-to-end procurement value chain (demand, source, fulfil, manage)
- A solid understanding of category strategy development and the ability to articulate its alignment with overall business goals
- The ability to influence and build effective business relationships with diverse groups of stakeholders
- Demonstrated strong complex negotiations and influencing skills with a clear understanding of drivers affecting business
- Experience in delivering strong commercial acumen and problem-solving skills, with a clear understanding of the drivers affecting the business, enabling assertive and effective guidance to business stakeholders.
