Community Gateway have been delivering welfare and community capacity building programs and services in Lismore for nearly 50 years. Today our service delivery footprint has expanded across the Northern NSW region.
**The Role**
Join our Community Hub and Intake team, and be one of the first points of contacts for clients. Here, you'll provide a person-centred approach to wrap-around service delivery and provide services such as intake, assessment, information, and assisted referrals ; liaising with internal and external service providers.
We are looking for a values-driven person to contribute to an inclusive and positive team environment and to support the welfare needs and capacity building of vulnerable and disadvantaged clients.
You will need to demonstrate initiative, knowledge of confidentiality/sensitivity and a good level of administration and time management to complete accurate and timely records in our CMS.
This position is** 25 hours per week (fixed term contract, part-time)**, Monday to Friday from 9 am to 2 pm.
Remunerated at a level 3 SCHCADS Award + Super + the opportunity for generous salary sacrifice (take home more pay)
This role is based in Lismore, however at times you will be required to travel to various other locations around the NSW North Coast region.
**Selection Criteria**:
- Relevant certificate with relevant experience, or experience attained through previous appointments, services and/or study of an equivalent level of expertise and/or experience to undertake the range of activities required. Interpersonal skills that demonstrate an ability to work in a person-centred way with a people in crisis in particular the ability to engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
- Ability to liaise and network with a range of services and resources for clients.
- Sound understanding of administrative procedures and practice.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft desktop products such as Word, Excel and Outlook
**Additional Requirements**:
- Current NSW driver’s license.
- National Criminal History Records check.
- NSW Working with Children Check
