Geotechnical Driller

Slaitini Drilling Pty Ltd (SDrilling) is a family-owned drilling company, based in Canterbury-Bankstown and servicing drilling needs within Sydney region of New South Wales. SDrilling provides geotechnical and environmental drilling services.

We are seeking motivated and experienced Geotechnical Drillers and Offsiders to join our small team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to work on a casual or part-time basis, with the potential for further opportunities within the company.

**Responsibilities**:
**Geotechnical Driller**:

- Operate and maintain geotechnical drilling rigs and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Conduct drilling operations to collect soil, rock, and groundwater samples for analysis.
- Ensure adherence to project specifications and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of drilling activities.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve project goal
- preferred knowledge in rock coring and SPTS (Automatic trip SPT)
- knowledge of Dando terrier drill rig (preferred)

**Offsider**:

- Assist the driller with the setup, operation, and maintenance of drilling equipment.
- Handle and transport tools, materials, and samples to and from the drilling site.
- Ensure the worksite is clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Support the driller in collecting and documenting samples.
- Perform other tasks as directed by the driller or site supervisor.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in geotechnical drilling or a related field is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of drilling operations.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to work in remote locations if required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Commitment to safety and following safety protocols.
