Baking Apprentice

Holmesys Bakehouse is a family-owned bakery with a wide range of vegan baked goods - including but not limited to vegan donuts, brownies, pies, cakes and other pastries. They are passionate about plant-based products. Located in Duncraig, the bakery is popular with many of the locals in the area.

They are currently looking for a full time Baking Apprentice to join their expanding team.

**About the role**

They are a small supportive team and will provide you with the opportunity to learn all sides of the bakery including Bread, Pastries, and our Royal Show award winning Pie and Cakes/Slices.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Assist with selecting appropriate ingredients and equipment
- Preparing and setting up the work station
- Learning to bake different types of pastries while adhering to food safety procedures
- Serving customers when needed
- Maintain a safe and clean work space
- Other general Baker duties as required

**About you**

Whether you are looking to begin your apprenticeship journey or you are already an apprentice baker, their team are happy to take you on to start/complete your training.
- Has the passion for baking and takes pride on their work
- Willing to learn and shows the initiative
- Reliable and punctual
- Early riser as the shift starts at 3.00 AM to prepare baking
- Team player
