Insurance broking is a great place to be. Loads of client interaction, client diversity, pace, and not to mention career opportunities.

But what about your decision-making authority, losing it if you move to broking?

No is the short answer, not in this specialist schemes based broking operation.

This newly created Schemes Underwriter position offers you the pace and variety of broking but still holding that crucial underwriting authority that you'll be used to.

Here you'll work with a specialist client scheme, underwriting new business and also managing renewals for the key clients.
Your day to day will include
- Review and Underwrite within the Delegated authority on our exclusive schemes
- Where required re-broke clients requirements to the open market
- Deal with incoming enquiries from clients, agents and account execs
- ensuring all transactions are conducted compliantly and with full transparency
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurers and clients
- Assist in the creation of comprehensive client and broking documents
- Assist in planning the most appropriate insurance programme for the client's demands and needs
- Ensure that self and team comply with all applicable Company and/or Group policies and procedures
- Ensure correct authorisation is obtained and processes followed when required by applicable Company and /or Group policies and procedures

Ideally, you'll have some underwriting experience under your belt and be someone who is curious about making a unique career move in the industry.

The team all work on a hybrid basis with 3 days per week required in the modern Perth offices.
