We are seeking a Full Time ICT Security Specialist who enjoys working as part of a small but dedicated team in a fast-paced environment. Salary $80,000 plus superannuation.
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Planning, developing, managing, and administering the organization's security policies and procedures to ensure system integrity, security, and performance.
- Working closely with other departments, such as IT, legal, HR, and operational departments, to ensure the organization's security policies are being upheld.
- Involve designing and maintaining security measures, including database architecture and data structures, to prevent security breaches and ensure data integrity.
- Handle the operational establishment of backups, recovery procedures, and enforce security controls to prepare for and respond to security incidents effectively.
- Implementing and administering database documentation, guidelines, and policies is crucial, as well as ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory security requirements.
- Troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software malfunctions related to server and network infrastructure, often requiring coordination with vendors and other external resources.
- Continuously monitoring the performance of IT systems, surveying current setups to anticipate future network needs, and recommending enhancements are also key aspects.
- Continuously monitoring the organization's IT systems for security breaches or intrusions. This also involves staying up-to-date with the latest security and technology developments.
- Engaging with security vendors, suppliers, and service providers, monitoring contractual obligations and performance agreements also falls under your responsibilities.
- Conduct security training sessions for employees, raising awareness about potential security threats and best practices.
- Ensuring that the organization complies with regulatory requirements regarding information security and privacy. This may involve conducting audits and working with external auditors to maintain compliance.
- Developing disaster recovery plans to ensure the organization can continue operating and regain full functionality after a security incident.
- Preparing and maintaining documentation, policies, and instructions, and recording and detailing operational procedures and system logs
