**About us**

YK Education was founded by an NSW Qualified High School teacher with the vision of putting students at the centre of their education by catering to their individual needs. If there are thirty students in the class, there should be thirty modified lessons.

We are expanding to pre-primary/primary age group and are looking for passionate and experienced teachers who can confidently manage behaviour of a class of 25 students aged 4-10 years old.

Be part of the implementation process of a new and exciting digital program that offers learning maths through gamification The goal of the classes would be to teach mental arithmetic through abacus games on a tablet. Type 'flash anzan' into Youtube and you'll know what we are aiming for You don't need to 'teach' how to use the abacus but will need some knowledge of how it works and you'll definitely need to be tech savvy.

**Position - Tasks & responsibilities**
- Behaviour management and monitor progress of a class of up to 25 students on Tuesday afternoons initially
- Use a tablet to teach mental arithmetic
- Encourage participation of every student
- Lead digital abacus games on the projector screen
- Some level of communication with parents

**Qualifications & experience**
- Experience teaching large classes of students aged 4-10
- Tech-savvy as tablets and projectors will be used during the lesson
- Strong in mathematics (basic arithmetic)
- Basic knowledge of abacus desirable
- Organised and great communicator
- Valid Working With Children's Check
