**About Us**

Support Services is responsible for the provision of non-clinical services that includes food services, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, central production kitchen, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services. The General Services Department at Monash Medical Centre requires a number of experienced cleaners to join our team.

**General and Specialist Cleaning Roles available**:
**Position 1 - Public Facilities Cleaner (Toilets and Common areas)**

Thursday and Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm

Saturday and Sunday 8:30am - 5:00pm
- (62 hours per fortnight)_

**Position 2 - Emergency Department Cleaner**

Monday day to Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm
- (76 hours per fortnight + ADO)_

**Position 3 - Specialist Floor Cleaner (Scrubbing and Buffing)**

Monday 6.30am - 3.00pm

Tuesday and Wednesday 6.30am - 1.00pm
- (40 hours per fortnight)_

**Position 4 - Ultrasound Department Cleaner**

Monday to Friday 6.30am - 3.00pm
- (76 hours per fortnight + ADO)_

**Position 5 - General Cleaning Public Facilities (Level 2)**

Monday to Friday 6.30am - 3.00 pm

(76 hours per fortnight + ADO)

**About the Role**
- Cleaning of floor surfaces
- Cleaning stairwells, windows, window ledges and other surfaces
- Bathroom and toilet cleaning
- Replenishing soap and paper products
- Completing checklists

**About You**:

- A high standard of demonstrated experience in customer service and cleaning (potentially in a healthcare environment)
- Ability to gain a clear understanding of the Victorian Public Hospital Cleaning Standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A commitment to delivering excellent customer service
- Takes pride in your work with great attention to detail
- Has great time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks
- Is able to work unsupervised but take direction
- Excellent understanding of infection control procedures
- Effective organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments
- Able to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling
- Ability to understand, follow and implement written instructions and procedures
- The ability to maintain the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality
- A “Can Do” attitude with the capability to problem solve and troubleshoot
- Basic to intermediate computer/digital skills for our digital learning system
