We are a privately owned business with extensive industry knowledge and experience. We are looking for a motivated and skilled individual to join our growing team as part of our farm operations. We pride ourselves on a reputation for quality and professionalism and want to invite the right person in our expanding horticulture project.
- **What you'll be doing**:_
This hands-on role involves supervising the daily operations of a commercial flower greenhouse to ensure healthy plant production, team performance, and compliance with workplace safety standards.
- Supervise and lead a team of greenhouse workers
- Oversee and hands on flower growing operations including plant propagation, trimming, repotting irrigation, nutrition, pest and disease control
- preparation of potting media and containers before planting
- selecting of cuttings and planting into punnets, pots and spacing
- work with the manager to maintain optimal climate and environmental conditions for plant health
- Maintain detailed records of plant movements, soil conditions, treatments and care
- assisting with plant layouts and selection for sales and deliveries
- Ensure quality standards and production targets are consistently met
- Promote and enforce **Work Health and Safety (WHS)** practices at all times
**About You**:
- Minimum **2 years of supervisory experience** in **commercial greenhouse growing**
- Strong knowledge of plant care, pest management, and propagation
- Proven ability to lead a team in a safe, efficient, and productive manner
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Certificate or diploma in horticulture (preferred but not essential)
**Desired Skills**:
- **Proficiency in computer data entry** for record keeping, stock control, and reporting
- **Forklift licence** (current or willingness to obtain)
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and a hands-on approach

Pay: $77,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating roster
- Weekend availability
