Key competencies (role specific criteria)
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:
Demonstrated or ability to acquire pathology laboratory and/or mortuary experience with proven ability to follow procedures and work conscientiously and accurately with mínimal supervision after instruction.
Demonstrated experience or ability to acquire experience in the interpretation of coronial/mortuary/pathology paperwork together with the ability to effectively use or learn to use the relevant LIS (Laboratory Information System eg. Auslab).
Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with multiple stakeholders to meet client expectations, and the ability to work in a team and contribute positively to team outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to proactively maintain a safe, secure and clean mortuary environment and an understanding of and willingness to contribute to the relevant systems, processes and procedures.
Ability to actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety and ethical behaviour.
