Our Federal Government client is seeking an
**Ansible Scripter** to automate tasks ensuring consistency and low downtime in the Development, Test and Production environments on Windows platforms.
**Overview of the position**:
The position works within a small team supporting and working towards delivering an automated, robust and secure environment. The Ansible Scripter will be working as a productive, diligent and supportive member of a small team with proven ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships and work under pressure to meet deadlines and maintain services. They will automate tasks ensuring consistency and minimized downtime in the Development, Test and Production environments on Windows platforms. This includes the lead or participation in technical issues, consulting and development of standards in your area of expertise as well as the delivery of support services.
**Core Skillsets required for the role**:
- Tertiary qualification in computer science or similar technical discipline, or relevant industry experience
- 3+ years of business process, systems and development experience in a similar tool chain
- Hands on experience: Terraform, Ansible, Gitlab, Containers/Kubernetes, APIs, Microservice Architectures.
- Demonstrated commercial experience in windows automation using Ansible and PowerShell scripting and Terraform
- DevSecOps CI/CD Tools and Operations
- Cloud Infrastructure Security, Cyber Security best practices
- Identify customer needs and understand business goals to envisage the high-level solution
- Orchestration and provisioning, infrastructure as code
- Extensive experience in administering and troubleshooting Windows server platforms in a large and complex environment
**Ideally, you will have experience and knowledge in**:
- Network troubleshooting with native and 3rd party Microsoft toolsets
- Active Directory design, implementation and support within a complex environment with both windows and Linux server clients
- Environment management using advance group policy management
- Windows server patching, security and administration as well as roles and features support
- Virtualization technologies
- Strong documentation skills, including documenting standard operating procedures and build and configuration guides
- Some exposure to Agile / SCRUM environments
