Head of Smsf

Our client is a boutique wealth management business with a highly entrepreneurial culture and a growing client base. They have several business divisions and a range of clients - from mum's and dad's to ultra HNW individuals.

They are currently seeking a highly experienced and driven Head of SMSF/ SMSF Administration to lead their self-managed super fund (SMSF) division. This leadership role is responsible for managing the end-to-end compliance, tax, and strategic advisory services for the growing SMSF client base. You will oversee a team of accountants whilst playing a hands-on role in complex client matters.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a qualified Tax Agent with deep technical knowledge, a strategic mindset, and a passion for delivering exceptional client outcomes.

**Responsibilities**
- Lead and grow their in-house SMSF division
- Act as a Registered Tax Agent for SMSF lodgements
- Oversee compliance, tax, and strategy for a growing client base
- Mentor and manage a small team of accountants and admin staff both onshore and offshore.
- Work with their financial planning firm to deliver strategic advice on pensions, contributions, estate planning, and tax optimisation
- Collaborate with advisers, auditors, and tech teams to drive efficiency
- Champion tech and automation
- Build strong relationships with high-value SMSF clients

**About You**
- 6+ years in SMSF accounting and strategic advice
- Registered Tax Agent (essential)
- CA or CPA qualified (preferred)
- Strong grasp of ATO requirements and SIS legislation
- Experienced team leader and client adviser
- Comfortable with SMSF platforms and cloud tax tools
- Proactive, strategic, and always client-first
