**Location - Liverpool - South Western Sydney District**

**Salary: Clerk Grade 3/4 - $79,032 to $86,539 p.a. plus superannuation and annual leave Loading.**

**Your role**

As a Casework Support Worker within Bindiliri Bala, you will help caseworkers in their day-to-day work supporting children, young people, families and communities in varied and challenging circumstances.

**What you’ll do**

No two days will be the same. You will responsible but not limited to;
- Monitoring and Actioning Outlook mailbox and Calendars
- Allocating Aboriginal cultural consultation referral requests,
- Helping caseworkers prepare documentation for the Aboriginal Advisory panel and Safeguarding Decision making for Aboriginal Children panels.
- Supporting cultural consultation and Cultural planning for Aboriginal children and young people
- Assist caseworkers prepare documentation and help with case planning for children and young people.
- Source and share information about families and make relevant referrals and appointments.
- Maintain timely client and casework records, including client information system records.
- Supervise “low risk” family contact visits and prepare summary reports which accurately record observations

**What we’re looking for**
- Someone who has some community work experience in working with vulnerable and diverse groups.
- Strong record keeping experience or the willingness to learn
- Someone who supports the work of caseworkers and understands the complex and challenging situations for some disadvantaged families
- Someone who is looking to start their Casework journey in a Aboriginal Casework Support role with the goal of progressing to an Aboriginal Caseworker role.
- Documented verification of Aboriginality.

The Department will accept proof of Aboriginality confirming the following:

- You are an Aboriginal person of Aboriginal descent.
- You identify as being Aboriginal; and

An acceptable form of documented verification is a “Confirmation of Aboriginality” letter, provided to you by a local Aboriginal organisation that includes a common seal from that organisation.

**What you need**
- A valid driver’s licence
- A TAFE Diploma in a relevant field, welfare / community services, OR relevant work experience deemed to be the equivalent experience
- National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014
- Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012
