**About the Contract**

Utilita, a Joint Venture between Downer and Ventia, delivers planned, corrective and responsive maintenance services to Urban Utilities on their diverse range of water and waste water assets. Our delivery area covers Brisbane, Ipswich, Somerset, Lockyer Valley and Scenic Rim council areas.

**The Role**

The Civil Lead Hand supports the Lead Supervisor and Civil Supervisor with scoping, troubleshooting and escalations relating to complex shuts, and repairs to sewer and water networks.

We are essentially seeking for a progressive leader, who’s also looking to continuously support our team by developing the capability of our field workers through coaching and on-going training.

In this role, responsibilities will include but not limited to:

- Develop work packs from scoping documents.
- Spending time on site leading jobs, troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Reviewing completed works, and assisting with payment claim queries.
- Liaising with the client in regards to jobs in progress
- Filling in for the Supervisor, with support from the Lead Supervisor.

**About You**
- Relevant water industry experience is desirable
- Experience scoping jobs and developing work packs for execution of work in a high-volume maintenance delivery environment.
- Organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Good communication skills and capacity to represent Utilita to suppliers, contractors and clients (with support from Manager)
- Ability or interest in coaching and mentoring others, to build capability.
