
Data Center Technician, Technical Infrastructure

**Minimum qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience working with one of the following: servers, hard drives, network switches, firmware and relevant diagnostics, performance tests, Linux, low-level software.
- Ability to lift/move 50lbs of equipment, work on platforms, ladders and under raised floors.
- Ability to work non-standard hours including working weekends, holidays, and shift-based schedules.
**Preferred qualifications**:
- Experience with hardware architecture, maintenance, and repair.
- Experience working with and troubleshooting hardware/network related issues using Linux based tools.
- Experience working on data center servers and networking hardware, with an understanding of the infrastructure.
- Knowledge of networking, topology, and protocol.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, as needed.
- Excellent Linux installation, systems administration, and troubleshooting skills.

**Responsibilities**:
- Contribute to and lead efforts/projects in the deployment, maintenance, and support of current and new data center infrastructure.
- Lead and resolve critical or escalated technical issues regarding affected equipment.
- Test and troubleshoot new server hardware components and designs.
- Configure and troubleshoot Linux OS related issues on our servers. Participate actively in on-call rotations to support our data center infrastructure, which may include occasional after hours, weekends, and national holiday shift work.
- Lead and take part in the development of processes and documentation for new areas of work or knowledge. Mentor, train, and guide new team members.
