Dental Assisting Traineeship

No experience? No problem We provide comprehensive on-the-job training, ensuring you gain the skills and knowledge needed to excel. You will be working while studying a Certificate III in Dental Assisting If successful, you will be gaining experience in the workplace with one of our host employers. Traineeship duration: 12 months

**Duties may include but not limited to**:

- Greet patients and prepare them for treatment
- Mix materials for fillings; sterilise and prepare instruments
- Arrange and hand instruments, medication and dental materials to practitioners
- Prepare dental materials and develop x-rays
- Use suction devices and water sprays
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment
- May advise patients on dental health education and post-operative care
- May act as receptionist for dental practitioners, perform billing and other clerical tasks.
- Maintaining high standards of infection control
- Any other tasks requested by the host employer

**Applicants will ideally meet the following criteria**:

- Be well presented, enthusiastic, reliable and punctual
- Be motivated with a positive attitude
- Must have strong attention to detail & good dexterity skills High level of personal presentation
- Great listening abilities & compassionate nature
- Have a minimum P1 driver’s licence and access to a vehicle

Please note: Applicants must be Australian citizens, permanent residents, or hold a visa that allows them to work in Australia

**Job Types**: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: $13.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
