**About the Role**:
The VR Study Clinician will sit within the Continuing Care Team (CCT) and be a part of the Early Psychosis Program, formally known as the headspace Adelaide Youth Early Psychosis Program.

The Continuing Care Team provide a service specialising in the delivery of phase appropriate mental health care to young people aged 12 - 25 years, who are at risk of or are experiencing a first episode of psychosis. The VR Study clinician will be responsible for delivering manualised Virtual Reality (VR) therapies (administering the active and control VRCBT interventions) to this population of young people. They will also be responsible for the delivery of intensive, long term case management (6months-2 years plus) and psychological interventions to young people referred to the service and working collaboratively with the CCT, MATT and FRT teams within the Early Psychosis program as well as headspace Adelaide services holistically. This position offers direct benefits to young people by providing an innovative and effective tool for treating mental ill-health, which can be integrated into their therapy journey.

**About VISOR**

VISOR is a double-blind randomised control trial testing a new exposure-based, VR-based CBT intervention to support social functioning and social cognition in young people recovering from psychosis. VISOR is national trial led by Orygen in partnership with other youth early psychosis settings across Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth that began 1 April 2023 and will run for four years until 1 April 2027.

**Experience Requirements**:

- Clinical experience within an autonomous role with demonstrated ability to provide evidence-based therapy and independently maintain a case load of young people in treatment.
- Demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced environment.
- Clinical experience of the assessment and effective management of younger people experiencing an acute psychosis and crisis services.
- Experience of working in an acute mental health setting.

**Qualification and Other Requirements**:

- Knowledge and experience in using the Microsoft suite of software and databases to prove ability to use relevant information technology, electronic recording systems and data management tools.
- Approved tertiary qualification in an allied health discipline, including social work, psychology, clinical psychology, mental health nursing, and occupational therapy
- Eligibility for membership of an appropriate professional body. Social workers are required to be eligible for full membership with AASW. Psychologists, mental health nurses, and occupational therapists are required to have full registration with AHPRA.
- Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
