The **Technical Leader - Roads** is responsible for providing technical leadership and stewardship to the Roads & Highways (R&H) geometric designers and overseeing and ensuring the quality and consistency of geometric road design deliverables. This role will be client facing and attend and participate in team, project and client meetings. As The Technical Leader - Roads, you will be expected to lead at the most senior level the technical practise of geometric road design ensuring that appropriate workflows and methodologies associated with road design and digital engineering interfaces are developed, reviewed, maintained and implemented. You will be oversee and set clear direction for a diverse team of designers working across a range of major D&C and direct commission projects in Victoria. #LI-AP1 #APMETransport #ANZTransport #ANZRoads #ANZHighways #NZSEASP **Here’s What You’ll Need**: - Extensive geometric modelling methods, applicable codes (AustRoads in particular) and specifications associated with road and highway infrastructure projects - Strong understanding of Transport for NSW/RMS and AustRoads design standards, including geometric design, barrier design, pavement and line marking design - Working understanding of design and drafting software packages including but not limited to AutoCAD, MX, OpenRoads, 12d, Civil 3D and MircroStation, with a preference for working knowledge of OpenRoads. - Demonstrate an understanding of the design process, co-ordination of work with other design disciplines and the efficient delivery of projects within budget, program and quality constraints. - The ability to lead, direct and encourage learning and technical development to ensure that the skills, workflows & techniques of the team are continually developed and improved through training and knowledge sharing. This includes formal internal & external training, knowledge sharing, lunch and learn sessions, assignment of mentors and support to the cadet program. - The ability to Identify, manage and mitigate the technical risk exposure to the business. Ensure that adequate controls are identified and applied to technical risks in both Sales and Project Delivery. **Jacobs.
